The ATP Finals are being played in London this week and are on the BBC. Federer lost to Nishikori last night and looked out of sorts. Cilic plays Zverev this pm and Djokovic vs Isner this evening.

Such a shame the semi final match ended the way it did, this afternoon, with some of the crowd booing Zverev. Sad They should all be ashamed of themselves He handled it superbly well.

Good to see Annabel Croft putting them in their places. Well done to her too.

I didn't know much of this young man before this week but I'm looking forward to seeing more of him.

I agree, Becky, they were appalling. It's easy to forget he's only 21, the youngest in this competition. He's an excellent player, I've been watching him over the last couple of years, it will be interesting to see how he does with Lendl.

He also has Jez Green, Andy Murray's ex trainer, working with him. I saw an interview with him and he was saying they are working to ensure they look after his body as he matures, especially as he is so tall.

I would love to see him win but think Djokovic is playing too well.

I watched the match this evening and was so pleased for Zverev. He is such a mature and likeable chap and is certain to be a Grand Slam winner of the future, after the way he beat Federer yesterday and Djokovic today.

How odd that his mike was cut off during his speech in order to present him with the champagne. He dealt with it well, saying that although he was talking a lot he hadn't quite finished (i.e. he hadn't thanked the fans yet)

A surprise eh Red,with a well deserved win for Sascha...a very well spoken, articulate young man who seemed as much at home holding a microphone as he does holding a tennis racket. After 4 all in the first set there was only one player in it.

Still with tennis I watched the film Battle of the Sexes the other night...the story behind the tennis match between Billy Jo King and Bobby Riggs. Interesting and entertaining ...the women had it tough back then. I always enjoyed listening to Jack Kramer on the BBC at Wimbledon.. saw him in a different light in this...not a very favourable one, at that. Rolling Eyes
