As was Johnnie Walker, who also did a good job sitting in for Brian in his absence. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

I don't think Johnnie would do it as he already has SOT70s, but he was great when he covered for Brian a few years ago.

I received an e mail today advising that the current boss of Radio 2 is on the next edition of Feedback and one of the matters up for discussion is the circumstances surrounding Brian leaving the show
I would recommend that all of us who feel strongly about this issue should e mail or otherwise contact that programme expressing our views in the strongest possible terms _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

I would hope that either JW or Tony B took over from Brian, as it does need a presenter who was actually "on the scene", chiefly from the pirate days, at the time. As far as I can remember, they're the only two who are still with us. Unless you count Roger Day or Keith Skues, which won't happen.
I've a feeling it won't be, though. Even Paul Jones would be good. _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

Paul Jones was around in the 1960s, being the lead singer of Manfred Mann before Mike D'Abo, so he certainly qualifies. And he has a good musical knowledge. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

The only thing that's against him, is that he's been a bad, bad boy. _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

have to remember to give it a listen. The through the night (well in my case early morning) thing with the playlists is absolutely dire! _________________ The wheel keeps on turning...

Bad Bad Boy or not (love it Raver!) I can't see him giving up his Blues slot on a Monday evening which I (surprisingly!) enjoy as I'm not such a fan of that genre in general.
He's still sooo good looking though..... he came into the studio when I was in doing the JV show and I had met the whole band in the 60s when they were rehearsing cabaret in a club that was below my Dad's offices (I very conveniently called in on a Monday afternoon after school!).
