Was rather disappointed in this film.

Starring Natalie Portman, (who was tipped for Best Actress Oscar for this) Peter Sarsgaard,Greta Gerwig and Billy Crudup

Jackie is a searing and intimate portrait of one of the most important and tragic moments in American history, seen through the eyes of the iconic First Lady, then Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy (Natalie Portman). Jackie places us in her world during the days immediately following her husband's assassination. Known for her extraordinary dignity and poise, here we see a psychological portrait of the First Lady as she struggles to maintain her husband’s legacy and the world of "Camelot" that they created and loved so well.

I wonder what happened to that pink suit?

I think it's a very well-made film but I'm not entirely sure what point it serves, other than giving Natalie Portman an awards-baiting role (and that didn't work)

There was a good film in there somewhere, trying to get out.

John Hurt turned in his usual good performance in it

I didn't rate Natalie Portman's Jackie at all.

As a Doctor Who fan I was amused to see it starred Richard E Grant, who at one point was the official Ninth Doctor before being replaced by Christopher Eccleston, and John Hurt - who replaced Christopher Eccleston in the 50th Anniversary special. Plus, one of Jackie's staffers was the guy who owned the Dalek in the Chris Eccleston series.

It's these small pleasures Smile

I'm afraid all of those things went right over my head. Smile

The actor playing JFK was very like him...eye-catchingly so.
