Just noticed Bill is doing Elaine's show today. Not sure if it's a one off or if he'll do a couple more if she is touring or whatever.
Thought it was worth a heads up though.

I hadn't seen this, H...but I have been listening, both in the car and when I got back in. So much better than Elaine Paige. _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

I've thoroughy enjoyed it Raver, right from his first track from Ethel Merman!

We've talked on here about Bill's stories and they flowed once again when he sat in for Elaine.
He started off with a story about my home town and so it went on...wasn't keen on all of his choices ..but that's like most programmes. One I really didn't like though was the version of Where Is Love by Rachel Tucker...it was in my opinion, awful! It is such a beautiful song and for me the version from the film Oliver is the only one. Rachel's version is so light and flimsy with hardly any feeling in it...not how it's supposed to be at all
He played Elaine Paige's version of Don't Cry For Me Argentina and said it was the definitive version..I would give that award to Julie Covington. |
