Took my 11 year old granddaughter to see this over the Christmas Holidays. I don't know how but she hasn't seen the original one so came to it without any baggage. Her review...she enjoyed it much more than she thought she would.. Very Happy As for me I enjoyed it too. Emily Blunt has big shoes to fill and I thought she did an admirable job. The chap who plays the up to date Bert was wonderful...an American actor,Lin-Manuel Miranda, who I have never heard of before.
There is a magical part (for me) in it that had me applauding but I will keep my lips sealed for any others planning to see it.
