That wonderful children's author and illustrator Judith Kerr has died at the age of 95. What a life she had, well-told in the link below. I loved the Mog books and "The Tiger Who Came To Tea". Recently I read her "When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit" which told of her childhood experience of her Jewish family escaping from Nazi Germany just in time, before eventually coming to England via Paris.
RIP Judith.

I haven't read any of her books,Eileen. Perhaps I'll get round to some, one day.
There was an outpouring of love for her and her work on Twitter.
This tweet from Newham Bookshop, especially, caught my eye.
My mother had to flee Berlin as did Judith Kerr and her family. During this week for any book bought in the shop, I will donate 10% of sales to a refugee charity, please support and RT.

Yes, Becky, I watched it. I do recommend "When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit" and there are a couple of sequels I think so must try to get hold of them. |
