Yes they've been doing it since 25th Nov, but it's really quite enjoyable! Even my O/H was singing away to it in the kitchen......... I think it's listenable as there's not so much chat.
Lots of different versions and oldies, if nothing else it takes your mind of the rest of the week's happenings........... and I need that!
Give it a go on DAB.

Been listening to Scala, where yesterday they played "Only You" - which is neither a Christmas record nor classical. Bah! |

Maybe it was in the charts at Christmas Ian? I know Magic have played a few that were and also some that were in Christmas related films.

Yeah, the Flying Pickets appeared on Top of the Pops as Snowmen so that apparently means it counts. But Paul Young's Love of the Common People, Culture Club's Victims and the Thompson Twins Hold Me Now were in the Top 5 at the same time and don't get wheeled out every December.
Same for East 17's awful Stay Another Day. There's enough decent Christmas music without adding this rubbish! |

Love that too - can't think (off the top of my head) of any of their others.
Have been listening to far too much talk radio just lately - music radio would be far less stressful, I'm sure, so I might give Magic a listen -thanks Helen. |

Different branch of Christmas songs..
Enjoyed this TV programme about carols on BBC 4
Lucy Worsley reveals the surprising stories behind our favourite Christmas carols. From pagan rituals to religious conflicts, French dances and the First World War, carols reflect our history.

It was the Christmas number 1 in 1983, so can legitimately claim a Christmas pedigree.
Recently acquainted my daughter with this track, as it features in the panto that she is supporting! |

A quick mini-rant, before I get to the point of this post...
Only You, always reminds me of my eldest daughter, who was born just before Christmas 1982, so she'd have been one year old. Always been a Christmas record to me.
Stay Another Day, reminds me of my Dad leaving the building, back in November 1995. I still can't bear to hear it. It has bells in it so...
So, to finish on a lighter note, I was at the swimming baths last night, watching my granddayghter train, armed with my trusty personal DAB radio, when scrolling through the stations (it retunes itself) I chanced across this...I know it might appeal to a few of you. Surprised it hadn't been thought of before, to be honest.
