|
|
1. No thread should result in personal insults, either regarding presenters or fellow posters.
2. Continual spamming of opinions, especially opinions moaning about a particular presenter or show, will not be tolerated. This thread is not aimed at descending into the public denigration of respected broadcasters.
3. An intelligent, well thought out discussion is always welcome on this section of the board, so any discussion regarding the bad points of a show/presenter will be appreciated.
4. Any threads/posts removed from this section will only be done so with the utmost consideration, it is not our aim to overly moderate this board, but for the sake of other members we cannot let this board descend into chaos like the BBC boards had a way of doing.
5. Continual breaking of these rules WILL end up in a short term ban.

I think admin's Gripe Rules are fair and for the benefit of this forum.
Admin and I had a short discussion earlier today but the rules were written and posted by Admin without further consultation from me. I accept the rules and, if the majority of the forum also accept them, I will use them as a guide to the Moderation level applied to this forum.

Eh yes, I always have been. I add the title to my 'signature' if I am speaking with some authority
I'll put the last bit in red if you like

THIS FORUM
The way I see it, there are several other forums, not specific to Radio 2, where spam and abuse about Radio 2 presenters is not modded, that's up to them. THIS FORUM, however, is specific to Radio 2 and includes in its membership some of the station's most ardent fans who have listened for 4 to 40 years, have posted on the official forum for 3 and more years, and have respect for all presenters at the station whether they listen to them or not.
Our friend Admin has offered this site to the R2ok group as a useful place to chat, more user-friendly than the yahoo message board linked with the R2ok website. The R2ok website is developing as a tribute to presenters past and present and if THIS forum is to continue with a strong link to R2ok then respect to presenters is rule number 1.

Who's the man in drag? Oh, Brand
I'm still an R2 fan whatever is on. When Evans is bleating I know something better will follow, so I'm still an R2 fan even when he's on |

John,
How on Earth can you stomach the puerile nonsense from Evans and Brand? Are you highly intoxicated at the time? That can be the only plausible explanation for you to enjoy their juvenile rubbish. |

Come on Scott, John didn't say he enjoyed the ginger whinger, just that he was still a fan of R2, when CE was on, as he knew something better would follow; and lets face it what could be any worse?

If you think Desmond Carrington is better than Chris Evans, then think on!
p.s. Danny Baker joins 6 Music from 2008! Woo hoo! |

Actually, I'd quite like to hear ol' Dezzie-boy doing Drivetime. It would be nice and relaxed, we'd have a much more eclectic music mix - and it would be a lovely antidote to the ginger-nutted, loud-mouthed rentagob who currently occupies the chair. I might even get into the habit of listening again! |

Yeah, Dessie for me anytime. Knowledgeable, wide musical tastes and a fine voice with good diction. |

I remember when there was a petition on the old Radio 2 board for Nigel Ogden to host Drivetime!
"Let Nigel entertain you with his organ on your way home from work." |

I have to admit that sounds an even better proposition. Anything but rentagob, let's be honest! |
