I don't necessarily have anything against Wrighty but even I find his show a bit "samey" every day and so usually try and find something different to listen to now and again.

As you may know Suggs is on Virgin for 2 of Wrighty's 3 hours and it's made a bit of a change to be honest. Suggs is not the world's greatest dj obviously but he can be entertaining.

The other day whilst back listening to Wrighty, he played a Madness song and was extolling the virtues of Suggs and suggesting that somebody should give him his own radio show! Quite funny for Steve I thought.

What are other peoples' thoughts?

If Suggs is a success, the BBC will offer him mega money and bring him on board. Same as always.

I think he has too much self respect for that.

Is this where the expression "to sell ones soul to the devil" came from?

I get the feeling that Suggs show on Virgin radio is not always live. I think he has this much at least in common with Steve Wright. Laughing

I'm sure some of the shows are voice tracked on Virgin. Russ Williams and Neil Francis usually do that. It's common practice for a lot of commercial radio shows now.

Yes & it sounds crappy. Suggs may have other commitments that stop him being available every day. Cant think what Williams or Francis could possibly have to do though..
