Is this feature really relevant in 2007.
On the Dawn Patrol show this morning Richard had some boring old fart rabbiting on about his last bonfire, his limp hot dog and sparkler.
Give me a break-total rubbish.
Get rid of. |

It's incorporated as part of the structure of radio 2. I think some of the pause of thoughts are quite interesting. Anyway it's only on for about 5 minutes twice a day, and if you are at home gives you time to do something if you dont like. |

Hmm, I'm not sure about that Mark. To be honest it's not really my thing but I don't think they should get rid of it. It's not on for very long so it's not like it is clogging up the schedules or anything.
Each to their own and all that. |

Maybe for you, but it's part of the religious part alongside GMS, which the station provides.

PFT is always worth a listen, most of the speakers give life a different perpective from the 'no-time, money grabbing, me,me,me' attitude of post-thatcherite Britain. _________________ Geddon

It is funnier (unintentionally) than the Comedy Hour. The best comedy on Radio 2 comes from those who aren't even trying. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Pause For Thought probably comes under the same banner as this Book reading at 9.15 on a Friday.
All part of the Radio 2 speech output i would imagine _________________ The Voice of reason in a MAD MAD world |

I'm not religious and only hear Wogan's 'Pause for Thought' and not every day. Even if you only reflect on something for a minute once a day it can't be bad. It's not all about religion either.
Nothing wrong with it in my mind!

All new celebrity Pause For Thought will revitalise the slot. I cant wait to hear about Davina's struggles to sound enthusiastic on Big Brother 449 or Russell's problems with his dinkle. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Isn't France dominated by the church of rome? _________________ Geddon

No,france has been strictly secular since 1905 - when the church split from the state for the final time
you can practice your religion in the privacy of your own home, but it is to be confined to the home
We could learn a lot from them - would make life a lot easier |
