I thought readers of this forum might be interested in the August 2007 edition of Best Of British magazine. In it is an interesting article on Alan Freeman. Without really wishing to put a damper on it, a couple of omissions I noticed were that there is no mention of his Radio 1 Saturday afternoon album tracks show or his Their Greatest Bits R2 show which was on about the same time as the revived version of Pick Of The Pops.

Excellent stuff. Any chance you could do a weblink--assuming one is available?

Ian.

My mother used to buy this magazine, and it was mildly interesting, but "in depth" and "thorough" were not words you could use to describe any of its articles. In fact it struck me that a lot of them were written by staffers who had just looked things up on google and wikipedia.

Still, any article on Fluff is probably worth buying the mag for alone!
