The internet is without question one of the greatest inventions of our time. For the majority of users it's a great source of information - the good by far out-weighing the bad.

I think they shouldn't encourage this and there staff monitor and police it in an adult manner. |

With something like 300,000+ uploads per day and literally millions of page-views in the same period, how do you propose they do that exactly? |

There does seem to be a lot of sick people out there who video fights and put them on the internet. They should be encouraged to do so. That way the police can use the video as evidence. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

So how does Ebay monitor there websites? It's down to the product to sort it out they get enough money from the customer. It's another way of getting money from us. |

To be fair, Youtube have removed plenty of videos relating to music, film, etc. when they've been made aware that transmission breaks copyright laws or suchlike. They've also removed videos of questionable taste etc. when complaints have been registered. However, with a large number of uploads each day, as Fred mentions, it may be too difficult to prevent the initial screening of material, but dodgy videos will eventually be removed. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

If enough people complain about an item then the Youtube people should have a duty to remove, review and make a decision. They make enough money and can employ monitors, and they do it for lady celebrities' knicker shots etc, and for those nutters who were diving off piers etc etc |
