Why does Dale Winton have to skim past all the decent tracks and play the boring ones? Perry Como? David Essex? David Cassidy? Come on, Dale! Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel! Rolling Eyes

Glad that Part 2 of this week's show is 1988! Razz

Can't quite work out why they've tinkered about with this rather than continuing to feature one year in a bit more depth.

Ian.

I reckon the rubbish BBC don't have recordings of all the chart hits of the last 45 years in their digital playlist Rolling Eyes

This is the old format and I much prefer it - I'd rather have more variety than the late 60s or 70s every week (more chance of hearing my era, like yesterday).

Yes, only those records which have gone up from the previous week's chart (plus the No 1) are played now, so that two years' charts can be looked at, much in the same way as Saville's Travels of old.

Only serves to illustrate how poor some Top 20 records were in the more recent years.
