Aplogies if this has already ben mentioned or is already included somewhere else but how about having a Film section on this site-details of new releases, recommendations as to what is worth going to see, what is worth missing, old film favourites, films coming up on the TV schedules etc etc

Just an idea.

Yeah, but of course we will also hear how rubbish some films are Razz

Only recent new film I've seen is Casino Royale, and just this morning on Beeb2 I watched Suspicion with Cary Grant and Joan Fontaine. Unfortunately during the last 10 minutes we had a vistor and the kids and missus were pratting around telling daft stories, big laughs with a monkey thong etc etc and me in the armchair trying to hear the end of the film but missed all the dialogue and whether it was a happy ending Evil or Very Mad

I'd happily help out with a Film Section. I run a Film Society so see lots of films myself, but I'm always keen to know what others are in to.

We showed Wah-Wah tonight and did very well.

Good idea. How about extending this and including TV as well?

Ian.

That sounds like a great idea, while they are at it, there could be a section for 'Black and White Films', one for 'Classics' another for 'Musicals' then a section for each genre.

Of course, the first thing I want to do when I join a forum for Radio 2 is to post in specific sections about Tv and Film. Shocked

For me (though I'm not being selfish Smile ) the most precious thing about the R2ok Chat Forum is that it looks like it can exist, in the main, specific to subject of Radio 2.

That's what the R2ok website was created for, that's what the Yahoo group was created for, and with the closure of the official BBC forum, this Chat Forum was created to provide a forum for the fans of Radio 2's Shows & Music, and the main sections of the forum cater for much of the discussions that occured at R2MB. That we can maintain an active forum essentially on the subject of Radio 2 is what this forum should be mainly about.

Radio 2 does not have a film critic's show, it does not have a TV review show.

R2ok provides a Coffee Bar for any old discussion so a thread for Films and a thread for TV would fit nicely in that section; just my opinion.

Is that why These Boots Were Made For Walking is being plugged Santa Idea
I think its a good idea, my local cinema is called Kinema In The Woods, it even has a Compton organ that rises to view in the interval and you get double entertainment as the organist plays all those great old tunes they used to when I was a kid, magic. If any body is interested, go to

If there was a TV section, is it not possible that a bunch of disgruntled, argumentative POV posters came this way?
