Hello Minx,
Welcome and thank you for your first posting.

Are you referring to the BBC Listen Again feature?
If so there ARE certain broadcasts (especially live sessions, interviews, significant nr of album tracks played) where the artiste or band featured requests that a programme NOT be made available on Listen Again. This is usually where the artiste is concerned that bootleg CDs might be produced from recording taken from the Listen Again stream.

The Bob Dylan show is NOT available on listen again because the company that make it also broadcast in on a subscription network in the USA. If it was freely available the US folks would cancel their sub's. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Thanks for your reply John.
No, we are logged on to Radio 2 all day, every day via the internet, and had been receiving all programmes live until around 7.00pm your time, when we suddenly started receiving this repeated message. Everything is back on line now and we are receiving live broadcasts so maybe it was just a hiccup.
Just cannot imagine the prospect of not being in touch with Radio 2 twenty four seven! Might have to consider coming back to England.... but then again... maybe not!
Merry Xmas all. Have really felt part of the UK Christmas via the shows on Radio 2 - everyone seems to be really enjoying the festive season. Today its wet, cold and windy on the Costa Blanca but no doubt the sun will be out again soon.
Cheers, Minx |

Which is the time when the Dylan show was on, see gfloyd's explanation above.

Many thanks to both. That must be the explanation. |

Well, I'm currently listening again to Bob's show (out of curiosity's sake) and no problems so far. Interesting start.... not quite what I expected.
