I wonder if I was alone in thinking that the BBC Radio Sheffield female reporter displayed an irritating and incongruous style of reporting when she referred to the two sisters having "hit puberty".
And then when stating that the girls had once contacted Childline but had hung up before revealing their identities she described it as "close but no cigar".
Totally inconsistent with the dreadful seriousness of this crime, in my view. |

I didn't hear the piece but when local reporters appear on Vine's show they often act dazzled, trying to make an impact on the bigger outlet. |

That struck me as well, at the time, as totally inappropriate to what was being reported on. |
