Why are Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates presenting it? Couldn't they get some of the other original presenters to make it different?

I think Jimmy Saville and Tony Blackburn are past presenting TOTP now! Smile

I'd imagine Fearne & Reggie are doing it because they were the show's presenters when it ended, and they're also unfortunately the presenters on the Radio 1 chart show.

I was sad to see the demise of TOTP.. Sad but I didn't watch it! Razz

Now, I'm pleased to hear it's coming back Razz although I doubt if I'll watch it now either Sad

Maybe I will, as pop music seems to be a little more settled than it was a few years back. I just hope it won't be dominated by Hip Hop/ Rap dross...

Surprised no-one has suggested Richard Allinson to present. Wasn't he a star of VH1?

TOTP has been as traditional as the turkey for Christmas Day ever since 1964. I doubt if I'll watch it but it deserves to be on.

Incidentally, its original presenters were Alan Freeman, David Jacobs, Pete Murray and Jimmy Savile on a 4-week cycle.

Ian.

I won't be watching either, as today's acts in the main, don't appeal to me musically! Twisted Evil
