It's a very private matter if the individual concerned thinks it's a private matter. If they don't, they have every right to publicise the matter, and we, as individuals, have every right to decide that we don't want to watch it.
This constant preoccupation with what we should or should not be watching/listening to is getting very tedious. I'm a grown up... I can decide for myself.
Personally, having watched the lives of a few close friends draw painfully to a close, I would have more than a passing intellectual interest in the alternative... whether I would want to watch it would be a matter for me, and me alone to decide, provided someone else was willing to make it available.

Cobblers, the public can decide when a program is broadcast whether they wish to view it or not, I am sick of being told to be outraged at certain things, especially things like this.
The poor guy had MND, he had had enough, it was his choice and I personally think he was very courageous as was his wife.
If we didn't have such ridiculous laws in this country people would not have to visit Dignitas to end their days. I also heard the story of the poor lad who was paralysed after a rugby accident, he also went to this clinic to commit suicide, they tried to prosecute his parents for taking him there but the case didn't get far.
It's a difficult subject but I feel that if somebody feels they have gone through enough pain and are not capable of administering their own 'lethal dose' as it were then anyone who helps them to pass away should not be prosecuted.
Anyone remember Diane pretty? she wanted her husband to help her die but knew he would be prosecuted if he did. She went through the courts and everything to try and assure he wasn't but was unsuccessful.
As it happened she passed away a couple of years later, in agony, just what she didn't want. |

I do feel uneasy about that one. The guy had only had his accident a couple of years ago. I think in time he might have come to terms with his circumstances.
