It was one of the treats of Christmas. Contrary to the opinion of AA Gill, the exceedingly unpleasant tv reviewer in the Sunday Times, who thought it was poor, this was excellent. _________________ MiS |

Only things I watched this Christmas were the W&G shows and the Dr Who special. Wasn't impressed with the latter, loved the former. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

A very good W and G as far as it went but did it need two showings in such quick succession?
I thought the Royle Family was well worth a watch.

Although W&G was full of clever tricks I did think that the story was pretty weak, and as for Dr Who, that was a triumph of noise over everything else. What a waste of Dervla Kerwin's talent! _________________ Ron |

W & G plots are getting very "samey"...plus they copied a large chunk of the end sequence of "Aliens"- it's not homage, it's just unoriginal and lazy.
I saw one of the earlier efforts with Shorn the sheep during the week and it's just a re-jig of "The Terminator"
Nick Park must be a real sci-fi fan
I will certainly agree with Becky though, that Gromit is a superbly executed character. _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |

For shows which were "repeated to death", look no further than Noels Christmas Presents. I must have seen it four times; started thinking that "Groundhog Day" was here for real.
And it was crap the first time. Like drowning in saccharine. |

Wallace and Gromit was the best thing on over Christmas, just brilliant. I love Gromit's expressions as well you can see exactly what he is thinking, II thought his poodle ladyfriend was really cute. |

I prefer Ray Harryhausen's model work in films such as 'Jason and the Argonauts' to anything by Nick Park. |
