To be a family man in politics is sometimes hard and to lose a child of your own is even harder. They are also people like us. My condolences go out to him and his wife at this time.

No words can convey properly the sorrow one feels when anyone dies, let alone someone so young, no matter how ill he had been all his short life.

Makes you realise how insignificant we are, and how randomly tragedy can suddenly be thrown our way.

I can't even begin to imagine how they are all feeling, no parent should have to bury their child. Crying or Very sad
It puts politics into perspective that's for sure, that poor little boy.

Thought Gordon Brown gave a really heartfelt statement in the House and, though Vince Cable was a little more formal, what he said was entirely fitting.
