Watched a fair bit of the night's offerings this year.. I was impressed and amused by the Eastenders cast again, I think there are some pretty good singing voices amongst them.
Possibly the biggest let down of the evening after waiting so long was Madness... After all the years they've been at it you'd think they would have perfected "It must be love" but it was abysmal... way too slow.
As usual, the Newsreaders were great... particularly Sophie! Razz

That one charity gives to lots and lots of charities though.

I wouldn't say I watch it every year but I'll admit to still finding it entertaining to see people doing things they wouldn't normally do.
I remember being pleasantly shocked to seeing Angela Rippon do that dance on the M&W show way back then..I couldn't believe my young eyes! and of course South Pacific by the newsreaders. Laughing
Even now, it still makes me smile to see the likes of Minty ( Eastenders ) singing.
It's all good entertainment.
Again I was like a teenager to see McCartney at the Albert Hall the other night.. what a star.
I haven't donated and don't usually as I donate plenty to animal charities and the kids seem to get enough every year as it is.... maybe. Confused

Regrettably I missed it Laughing

I found the Albert Hall concert on iplayer and forwarded to the Paul McCartney bit (knew he would be on last) Very pleased to see and hear he was in good voice, really looking forward to the O2 now.

Paul McCartney sounded in fine voice! I recorded it but caught that part live and I'm glad I did.

I didn't see all the coverage, but I saw the Albert Hall concert (mainly for Muse and Paul McCartney) and the CIN Mastermind.

Lucy Porter got nearly all the answers in the general knowledge round, and did very well on her specialist subject (Steve Martin). Stephen K. Amos must have been nervous on the night as he hardly got any on his (Five Star).
