I'd just like to record how much I'm enjoying the Dawn Patrol at the moment. SK seems to have raised her game recently. I'm making the most of it since the show is going to be abbreviated in the New Year isn't it? As will my Radio 2 listening in the mornings.

She does seem perkier - luckily Sarah's health has imoproved which must help. I really wish she would stay in her present slot.

Still awaiting news of the revised schedule for 2010.

Caught both the Dork Lard and Sarah this morning on the way home from the airport. Maybe it was the three week absence, but both sounded absolutely great to me! Sadly, I slept through Steve Wright this afternoon.... Rolling Eyes

I have to say that imo Sarah Kennedy has been really lucky in not only having her show extended but actually keeping her job.

Her broadcasting style is poor to say the least.

Her broadcasting style is individual - there is no one quite like her. She converses with her audience rather than talks at them, and that is what the not inconsiderable number of her listeners like about her. It's obviously quite difficult to do because, try as they might, none of those who cover for her are able to replicate the knack.

I tuned in to Drivetime tonight only for a few minutes, heard the two John Lennon tracks and then 'the shouty one' started up, my hubby came in to the room and said I can't imagine a worse person to do a breakfast show! He thinks ' the ginger whinger' would be better suited to Junior Choice.
Re-tuned to Radio Tees in mistake for Radio 4, but in the first five minutes I heard " ...at the minute...." ( a very annoying phrase) three times.
Then the radio got turned off.

I used to find SK annoying, but she is now starting to look good compared to some. I will only hear her for a short time when she is in her new 'enforced' slot though. Early starts on work days!
