Yep, thirty five... count em..... there's a product called "No more Big Gaps" the manufactures of which are thinking of sponsoring the R2 Breakfast Show. Did anyone else not hear it this morning?

So you see there is a product out there for excatly what happened this morning. Next time Chris is lost for words, you fill in the gap with a sticky gunge.... No more big gaps! It's great stuff. Smile Wink

Look, you would tease me, if it were the other way around...... let's not even talk about getting the size of the egg wrong... no no.... we'll just leave that right there.

Perhaps he was searching for a Simon and Garfunkel song to play.

Evans has been filling in even bigger gaps with gunge since he started on the show..... witness the "mega-phone call" and "hello-goodbye" routines.

His constant belittling of Johnny Saunders is starting to get a bit predictable too, especially since the latter plays the part of village idiot better than he does that of Evans' stooge.

This show is becoming like Groundhog Day. It's the same features in the same order with the same jingles etc

Johnny Saunders reads out his Mystery Guest introduction from the same script with the same internation every day. The hello/goodbye thing is getting oh so tiresome now.

If you ever need to defend the statement that CE surrounds himself with sycophants and @rselickers then have a look at the comments on his blog and you'll be proved sadly wrong.

I'm not saying The Breakfast Show is a bad show it's just that it has it's place and it shouldn't be on Radio 2

I actually heard Evans this morning. No, not all the show (what do you think I am - a masochist?) but the sound of his irritating voice speaking two words. They were something like "Well hello..." over that infuriatingly naff title music he uses.

Having tolerated listening to Moira Stewart's rather dour and fumbling reading of the 7.00am news I usually manage to lean over to the alarm-clock radio and hit the "off" button just before the dreaded moment when Evans inflicts his "interactive show for all the family" on the nation - but this morning I was a tad late.

I have to say that the bit of the "show" that I heard didn't sound any different to any other equivalent bits of his "shows" since he started to pollute the breakfast airwaves with that really, really annoying voice of his.

Anyway, it's OK; I've got over it now! Smile
