| Anyone here a fan of Rent? My theatre are putting it on this week, and it's going to be a great production (I was plugging it on Elaine Paige's show yesterday). |

It was also mocked in 'Team America: World Police'. Gary is first spotted by the agent, Mr. Spottiswoode in a stage musical called 'Lease', where he moves the audience to tears with his acting. He tells Spottiswoode he motivates himself by thinking of 'the saddest thing that happened to my family'.
The musical has a rousing closing song called 'Everybody's Got AIDS'! Gary also confesses to being troubled by a bad memory of going backstage after seeing a production of 'Cats', and 'being raped by Mister Mistoffelees'! 
Yes, I did think of Elaine Paige when I saw that!
