It's strange laws they have in Dubai. The latest victims are a couple kissing in a restaurant. They have been sentenced to a month in jail for drinking alcohol.

Actually, I have quite a simple philosophy on this Mark. I can't get worked up about people who go to countries with strict laws and then expect to get away with behaving as they would do in their countries of origin.

I can get worked up however, about people who come here and kill the protected wildlife of our waterways for food, or who expect to have everything translated into their own particular language/dialect so that they can deal with the benefits system, or where necessary, the law.

No sympathy for either category, sorry. When in Rome.....

I agree. It's a Muslim country. Anybody who gets up to what they got up to is either arrogant or stupid or both!
