Airport security shouldn't be relaxed whether some are redundant. It would be crazy if some were too be removed.

Some people have suggested that but I don't think I'm anything like him-apart from the anti flying thing
I just think on myself as being very environmentally friendly
I'm certainly very green whenever I set foot anywhere near a plane Embarassed

I got pulled for having an office stapler in my hand baggage at Schipol Airport recently. They told me it was potentially a dangerous object.

I told them that the half bottles (yes- glass bottles) of wine that BA served on their flights were potentially dangerous in the wrong hands, too, as were the glass bottles that people were taking onboard that they bought in the airside shops.

They waved me through.

What airport security????

Nearly mis-read that. I thought you said your handbag, colin Laughing

I think relaxing stupid checks like removing Laptops from bags could happen. There are many other surveillance facilities which are going on in airports, and I'm sure security know what they are looking out for, by looking at a person.
