... are words from a song by the New Riders of the Purple Sage and one that is closely associated with Radio Caroline.
And with that scintillating bit of information I thought I'd just like to say that`I've been listening to Radio Caroline (via its iPhone app) all morning and they haven't played a single song containing the words "Christmas", "Snow", "Sleigh" or "bells". What they have been playing is fabulous music. I was about to email the studio asking for something by Badfinger when blow me down they played something by Badfinger!
By the way, I've just heard Johnnie Walker's voice on the station! |

Colin, that's good to hear
I really like the original of Without You written and performed by Badfinger but it hardly ever gets played on radio _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Sounds like a track for 'Why do you never hear this on the radio?' thread on the Music Chat board. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack.

There was once a legal case where Harry Nillson was able to claim that he wrote the song - when it's clear to most people that he didn't! I never did understand that whole thing.
Anyway, it wasn't that one that they played - and it wasn't "Come and Get It" (written by Paul McCartney) either. In fact, I've already forgotten which one it was! |

I think Badfinger did a follow up after 'Come and Get It' which I think was called 'Day after Day'
I could be wrong but it sticks in the back of my mind for some reason
Perhaps that was the track played _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

It was "No Matter What". That's one of my all-time favourites. |

Yes, a very good track.. wasn't that also the one with the short gap at the end which used to catch out DJs? _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07
I have heard how radio should be. |
