I'd forgotten it was 2Day today and made the mistake a retuning to Radio 2 at 10am, as usual. What a rude a wakening!

Having checked the schedule, I see the dream ticket is at 12, Evans and Ball. The programmes on before and after that, Johnnie Walker, Joe Brown and Richard Allinson, sound much more appealing, as opposed to appalling.

funny that Brian Matthew is unwell and unable to contribute to a live programme, I think it's more to do with him not wanting to do a live programme (he'll be back on Saturday, Johnnie said... obviously cos SOTS has already been recorded)
i suppose at 82 it's great that Brian is still on the radio, and i love SOTS, but the whole programme is scripted apart from a few bits that Brian does seem to add; i don't think Brian would be able to or want to do 'spontaneous' like Joe Brown obviously can

Don't think it's odd that Brian couldn't make it as he is in the TV trail and there are photo's to prove it.

Maybe he has a cold which at 82 probably makes you feel worse than if you're 30 years younger.
