Farewell to Colombo. Always enjoyable detective series. He always had a knack, on his way out, to turn round and say 'oh and another question ....' and catch his suspect off-guard. Did Poirot also do that? (haven't read an Agatha Christie for a looooonnngg time) _________________ -

I know he's been suffering from Alzheimer's for many years. It's very sad news. RIP Peter Falk...( Columbo ) |

I'm a huge Columbo fan - very sad news!
If you're into the show HMV are doing the boxset with every episode made for £59 in-store at the moment (It's a slightly more expensive £130 from their website).
Also if you get a chance there is a stage version of the pilot episode "Prescription Murder" which has toured the UK in each of the last 2 years. I saw it in Belfast last year when Dirk Benedict (The A-Team's "Faceman") played the main role. |

That came to a local theatre. I wasn't sure what amaed me most, that the suave Dirk Benedict was now playing scuffy old Columbo or that The Face was appearing in Worthing! _________________ I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. |

I once did a tour of LA and saw Peter Falk doing the drains on his driveway. He waved... which was nice of him! |

He was actually very good in the role, after a while you forgot it was someone other than Peter Falk... |
