It was nice seeing Aled Jones and Lorraine Kelly on the new Daybreak. ( Actually I had to watch it on ITV player )

Matt Barbet and Ranvir Singh were presenting the 6-7am slot which I saw the start of.

The set looked like they have gone back to GMTV with the Orange and Yellow bright colours.

At least they were smiling and not looked like Adrian Chiles and didn't want to be there.

So that's where Ranvir Singh has gone to. She was one of our main Look North West team and went on maternity leave, never to be seen again!

Ah yes,Helen..I'd forgotten about her ...sure she'd be thrilled to hear that....Very Happy

I was slightly annoyed when she joined Gordon as I felt he was being pushed out (not by her personally!) I don't see why they have to have two presenters for a half hour programme seeing as they already have Tony for the sport and Dianne or Eno for the weather.

I subscribed to Gordon's email, when he was on the programme, and he was very sorry to leave. Sad

That new bloke's rubbish. Ranvir should have got top slot (with Tony, if needed) when Gordon left - no wonder she's gone to ITV.

I thought she'd get the main presenter's job as well, or even Annabel Tiffin. I think she does the political bit on Sundays but I don't watch it these days.

Oh dear, watched a bit of Aled on Daybreak this week and oh his cheesy jokes are as bad as ever, he seems comfortable with Lorraine, but I just don't see him increasing the audience. Apparently the show was getting less than a million recently.

So if Lorraine is on Daybreak does she also do 'Lorraine'?

Daybreak has been getting around 700k since it started, dipping to 500k during the later Chiles & Bleakley period but recovering a little since they left. Lorraine however has always consistently got 1m+ viewers so it makes sense to give her the whole show.

However, the revamp is still stuck around 700k and the Audience Appreciation figures are poor (but up on the Chiles/Bleakley era). Since launch, there have only been a few weeks where Daybreak hasn't been in the bottom-five of the Audience Appreciation charts.
