A very sad loss for all football fans

He lived only about 5 miles from me and the circumstances of his death must have been a great shock for his family and very hard to bear

I had a business partner who committed suicide 18 years ago and I saw at first hand the effects it had on his wife and family at that time and so my sincerest condolences go out to Gary's widow Louise and his two children

He was doing well as manager of Wales and seemed to have everything to live for but I suppose the truth is that you really never completely know someone even if you are married to them

RIP Gary

Terrible tragedy, I saw a clip on the news of Gary on football focus yesterday and seemed happy and relaxed.
It just goes to show that somebody's outward appearance can mask the fact they are in a very dark and lonely place.

I hope he is at peace now.

Dreadful news, which resonates up here on Tyneside, in view of his time at Newcastle United. My sympathy to his family.

Ian.

At the Newcastle-Chelsea match this Saturday, ko 12:45, they're to sing Guide Me o Thou Great Redeemer at the beginning, in tribute. Why not play this at home at that time if you've got a recording or download of it?

Ian.

I can do better than that Ian - I've got an old Italian church organ upstairs so I can play it for myself - not sure about the singing though Smile

If I do I'd better warn the neighbours as it is rather loud Shocked
