People from Eilean Siar, Orkney & Shetland most happy
People from Blackpool least happy
Teenagers and those above retirement age are the happiest
Women suffer higher levels of anxiety
People living in built-up or former industrial areas, such as South Wales, the West Midlands or London, tended to be less happy, while rural areas, such as Orkney and Shetland, and Rutland, in the East Midlands, were the happiest

I'm not surprised the people of Rutland are happiest - they have Rutland Weekend Television, which is a helluva lot better than the other rubbish we get. |

I would have thought the inhabitants of Rutland would be far less happy since Ruddles Beers are no longer brewed in Oakham but now in Bury St Edmunds _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

One of many breweries closed down by Greene King. Another that comes to my mind is Morlands of Abingdon. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

That explains it - I was in Suffolk a few weeks ago for the Great East Swim and stayed in a village near Bury St Edmunds where the local pub sold Ruddles beer. I thought it was a long way from Rutland. |

Ruddles County has been sold in my local pub in Milton Keynes for a long time now. It also has at least one Adnams beer, which is brewed in Southwold, which I like very much! |

I've still got one of the original Ruddles booklets from the days when it was still a local Rutland Brewery - I picked it up in a pub near Leicester in 1973
It bears the motto 'Multum In Parvo' which for you Herberts who did not study Latin translates as 'Much In Little'
A very true statement _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Have you been round the brewery in Southwold? It's a lovely place. The brewery shop is just heaven!! |
