Saw this in one of the Sunday papers yesterday and thought it was an April Fool joke but it is genuine.
To celebrate her 60th birthday she has made it available as a free download on her official website - www.sandieshaw.com
It is available for 60 days only - you have until 26th April to download it |

Paid the site a visit. Trying to download freezes everything. Saved it instead but can't find it!!! Computer wiz son will no doubt sort it out in nanosecond later on.
Of course it's not the first time she's re-recorded Puppet On A String, or many more of her hits. She re-recorded them all into French, German and Italian at the time, and then in English when she switched labels to Virgin and they wanted a Best of... in the 1990s. _________________ Ron |

Had a few problems downloading it on Sunday but it seemed to be ok yesterday. Just right-cliked on the large icon on the right hand side and saved it to the my music folder. |

I always thought she hated the song - mind you, she's probably just heard Lily Allen's blatant rip-off and thought 'ker-CHING!!' _________________ "....you're wearing a plywood bow tie with Dundee United on it?" |

Why on earth would she re record this song?? because of Eurovision perhaps?
"Always something there to remind me" would have been a better choice, or better still, "Girl don't Come "! |

I really like 'You Can't Blame Him' which I think is the f-side of 'Ill Stop At Nothing'- very catchy. _________________ Eternal nothingness is fine if you happen to be dressed for it. |

Why not request Mr Matthew to feature it on B side/A side on SOTS?

Great idea - probably have a good chance of success, as it's not one of the "obvious" hits. Leave it with you...
Finally managed to download the new POAS - can't say it goes with the new treatment, but still love the voice. _________________ Ron |
