Simon Bates played it this morning - my initial reaction was that it wasn't all that good but I think it's the type of track which might be a 'grower' and I actually could see that it might well be the Christmas Number One - so if it is remember where you heard it first Smile

I think you could be right, Ruddles.
It sounds better than the Williams/McCartney etc rehash of He's Not Heavy for the Hillsborough charity anyway - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/culturevideo/musicvideo/9698337/Hillsborough-charity-single-featuring-Paul-McCartney-and-Robbie-Williams-is-tipped-for-Christmas-No-1.html

That's good fun, that. Interesting that it incorporates "Mahna Mahna" as I think that song was more of a British phenomenon than US.

Yeah, not bad for a song which was originally written and recorded by an Italian, Piero Umiliani, and used in an Italian porn film and The Benny Hill Show Laughing

Heard on its own, without the video, it loses a lot, because it's much more Green and not much Muppets - it comes from his new Christmas album, Ceelo's Magic Moment

Yeah, there's a few bands that do that and it's a little annoying - though Ben Folds has a cool video too:

Regarding Cee-Lo, I went to the animated film "Hotel Transylvania" the other week and - bizarrely - they have him doing the speaking voice to character but not the singing voice! Must be a contractual thing but if that's the case, you'd think they'd just hire an actual actor.

I'm quite happy to buy this single even if it is mainly Cee-Lo Green and not The Muppets if it means it will keep one of Simon Cowell's muppets off the top spot for Christmas.
