I was in Chicago back in 2000 when the temperature was not far off the current levels and it certainly was cold
The bigger problem however is power cuts because virtually all power lines are above ground slung on poles and when these come down power is lost to homes and the State funds the cost of residents being temporarily housed in local hotels - so for example when I was there the occupancy of my hotel went from around seventy to more than 750 overnight
Needless to say it was quite a long wait for breakfast the following morning  _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |
