Quote: | A new £1m pub opens at a motorway service station today, in the face of fierce criticism from road safety and alcohol campaigners.
The pub chain JD Wetherspoon says The Hope and Champion pub will be open from 4am to 1am, seven days a week.
The venue is located in the Extra Motorway Service Area at junction 2 of the M40 in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. |

I think it good if your staying overnight in the IBIS hotel. Know one should drink or drive and they know that. |

I am rather a fan of Wetherspoons but I do think this is a very bad idea. |

Maybe they should remove all pubs near roads just in case. |

I 'm a huge fan of pubs and real ale but I agree with Eileen - the opening of such establishments on motorways is a step too far and is asking for trouble _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Motorway service stations already have shops which sell alcohol including Co-op, Spar, M&S and Waitrose. |

Given that they tend not to serve beer at 9 in the morning there's no need.
Don't agree with this decision at all, I don't dislike Wetherspoons but this is a really stupid idea. |

Weatherspoons opens at 9am for Breakfast like a lot of pubs do these days. Can't serve alcohol until 10am. |
