After this weeks mistake by the BBC announcing Brian Matthew had died, his god daughter announced that the veteran broadcaster has died. He's been critically ill in hospital for sometime. He will be sadly missed RIP..

It seems fitting that he died on a Saturday morning.

Thank you, Brian. It's a sad day.

I've just read a little interview which Brian did with Ray Connolly for Saga magazine in 2012 and thought I'd share it with the masses. It may be a predictable and short read, but well worth it, for the last paragraph alone.

Thank you for sharing this, it was lovely to read it. I miss the days when Sounds of the Sixties started off my weekends.
