The passing of founder member of the Moody Blues Mike Pinder has been announced. Mike aged 82 passed away at his home in California. He was keyboardist and a founding member of the Moody Blues in 1964. He was a major influencer in the early days of progressive rock introducing the mellotron into the Moodies from 1967 .
RIP Mike, thanks for the great music, you were the soul of the Moody Blues. _________________ The wheel keeps on turning...

Sad news. I saw the Moodies at the City Hall when they were the support act for the Beatles in December 1965......

Mike Pinder - the name (different spelling) took me straightaway to The Searchers - Mike Pender.
Obviously known for so much more but Go Now is one of my stand out favourite records from the Sixties.
Terrific cover of the original by Bessie Banks. |
