What is in the top 5 most played on your ipod?
on mine it's
1. Lily Allen - Littlest Things
2. Elvis Presley - His Latest Flame
3. George McCrae - Rock your baby
4.Herman Dune - I wish that I could see you soon
5. Devandra Banhart - Heard somebody say

closely followed by Richard Hawley's Hotel Room and many by the Everleys

it's wierd because it doesn't really reflect my favourite songs or necessarily musical tastes!

Don't have an iPod or an MP3 player yet, but here's my current Top 5 I'm rather fond of listening to in the car at the moment:

Anne McCue: "Driving Down Alvarado" (from "Koala Motel")
Gemma Hayes: "Happysad" (from "The Roads Don't Love You")
Maia Sharp: "Wisdom" (from "Fine Upstanding Citizen")
Kate Aumonier: "Morning After Girl" (from "Here I Am")
Kathleen Edwards: "One More Song The Radio Won't Like" (from "Failer")

I do make up compilation CD's for the car & my "white van", if that counts:-

1. I Want To Break Free - Queen
2. Soldier - Harvey Andrews
3. Sittin' On A Fence - Stones
4. Copperhead Road - Steve Earle
5. Happy Birthday - Band From County Hell
6. While My Guitar Gently Weeps - Beatles
7. I'm Not An Angel - Kimmie Rhodes
8. What's Up - 4 Non Blondes
9.Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who
10. Apache - The Shads
11. Nights In White Satin - Moody Blues
12. Fanfare For The Common Man - ELP
13. Time In A Bottle - Jim Croce
14. Money - Floyd
15. Feel Like Going Home - Knotting Hillbillies
16. For Your Love - Yardbirds
17. Streets Of Philadelphia - The Boss
18. 18 Till I die - Bryan Adams (Unplugged version!)
19. Tubthumping - Chumbawamba
20. The Best - Tina Turner

This is CD 1, goes on at 1700, if I don't want to listen to R4.

I like While my guitar gently weeps

My favourite song EVER though I think has to be 'Here comes the Sun' by the Beatles - the most beautiful thing I've heard - the guitar at the start... I could listen to it forever....

Who introduced you to Elvis? His Latest Flame was the first 45 (single) I bought, either December 1960 or Jan 61. Had a Garrard record player for Chrimble, 2nd hand & came with about 30 singles, brilliant.

It's taken me over 6 months to come to grips with this 'iPod' - I was quite happy with my Walkman til I dropped it down the lavatory. But here's my top 5.

Awake. Godsmack
Bad Liver And A Broken Heart. Tom Waites
Krishna Blue. David Sylvian
Did He Shoot Her? Elton John
Promises. The Cranberries

I'm i-pod-challenged, but if I wasn't I'd make sure these five were at the top of the list at the moment

Let's Never Stop Falling In Love - Pink Martini
Piano Man - Billy Joel
Dream A Little Dream Of Me - Janet Seidel
Too Many People - Paul McCartney
Darkness On The Face Of The Earth - KT Tunstall & Jools Holland
