I don't want to hijack any part of the forum, but hopefully some of the whizzes who have helped me previously on the BBC Boards may be able to help me out again.

Currently trailing on ITV is an ad for a new programme next week about the reopening of the Savoy Hotel. I've caught it once subliminally and once consciously; it seems familiar, but I can't identify it. Of course, I haven't heard it since! Can anyone help put me out of my misery?

I don't understand what information you're looking for. Here's info about the programme:

http://www.itv.com/presscentre/thesavoy/week50/default.html

but that's easy thanks to Google.

Do you want to know what the music is or something?

Apologies - re-reading my post it doesn't actually make it clear what I'm after at all.

It's the music playing along in the background that I'm after, and so far Google isn't helping on that one.

Might not be the same music, but there's a newsreel here.

http://www.itv.com/london/savoy-hotel-reopening95641/

The music on the newsreel is Noel Coward, the tune is Room With A View, the pianist is Carroll Gibbons who directed the band at the Savoy Hotel for a while in the 1920s then continuously from 1932-1954. He played on a white grand piano which I have seen at the Savoy abot 5 years ago. I think it survived the refurbishment.

The main music on the trailer is Music For A Found Harmonium by the Penguin Cafe Orchestra.

Thanks very much for that info - spot on! Interesting band....

It had been driving me nuts. Any ideas where I may have heard it before, cos it seems so familiar but just cannot place it?

It's in the film Napoleon Dynamite and possibly the TV series The Apprentice. Think it may have been in some adverts too.
