Grandstand has been on almost every Saturday afternoon on BBC1 for 49 years - but this weekend sees the last ever edition. They are showing a tribute at the end of Sunday Grandstand

Are they still keeping Final Score on? I can never be bothered to scrat around looking through BBCi for the results, etc., and my digital reception isn't good enough to allow the interactive channels to work properly.

Final Score & Football Focus will stay. They will still show a lot of sport on Saturday afternoons but will probably show old films on quiet weekends.

Hurrah! Has blighted my life. Had to sit through boxing at the York Hall Baths, swimming, all in black and white and at one point I believe wrestling before ITV took it over. Oh how my Granny loved Kent Walton.
So goodbye the lot of you.
Will my license fee now go down?

Is that why they've started showing various sports on BBC2? I'm sitting here with one eye on the athletics on 2. If I hadn't have been flicking my zapper I wouldn't have known it was on.

Are they still using that PYE TV camera with the turret lens on the front?

It was good to hear the original Grandstand music again, reminded me of my childhood, Eddie Waring, Peter O'Sullevan and dear old Len Martin!
