I used to love The Two Ronnies.. probably just as much as Morecambe & Wise.. top quality entertainers.
I watched "The One Ronnie" yesterday and was quite surprised at how good Ronnie Corbett still is! He still has the gift of timing and facial expression to make a gag or sketch work..
I particularly liked the sketch with Harry Enfield ( another great under-used talent imo .. ) in the Grocer's Shop.. real classic stuff and if I'm right, Enfield really enjoyed the content too.. I liked Harry's smile as Ronnie delivered the line about "his Dongle"
A great show in a format from years gone by maybe? I think so, but whatever... it worked, Ronnie worked, and for me at least, it showed how much we need and miss shows like this..
Nice one Ronnie! _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Totally agree Santa
For me the Two Ronnies were always as much a part of Christmas as the turkey or the festive tree
I used to like Ronnie C on his own in Sorry as well

Me too. I'd watched it many times when I once turned up on a video shoot only to recognise the Sound Recordist. I looked at him hard and said "Haven't I seen you on that Ronnie Corbett sitcom on the telly?". He said yes - he played the part of the geeky-looking bloke with glasses`who dated their daughter. He had an Equity card from years back and did a bit of acting here and there, though turned to the production side because the work was more consistent. He was a good sound man, too! (Del, he was called).
He said that Ronnie Corbett and the whole cast were great fun to work with. |

It was remarkable only for how many people it took to play the ghost of Ronnie B _________________ Ron |
