When hubby and I were in Cornwall, not the last time but the time before , in December, Pirate FM had a roadshow X-Factor type thing going on in Penzance, in one of the streets there. Hubby and I were there for about two minutes...just passing through..
I've just looked at some pictures of the event on their website and Hubby gets his shoulder and the side of his head into the first picture.... they were there all day, we were there two minutes (well maybe ten)... talk about capturing the moment... humph! A tad to the right and you would have seen me looking in an estate agent's window.

I used to listen to that when staying with the folks in Plymouth (and, of course, when driving around yonder Kernow). Roger "Twiggy" Day used to do a morning show on the station - which took me right back to the days of Luxembourg 208 and RNI. Aaaaaaah.
I think you were a bit slow not getting yourself in shot, Rachel! I'm disappointed in you...... |

Pirate FM is also the strongest DAB signal in West Cornwall. We discovered that while testing our new DAB down there.
I keep away from cameras when I'm outdoors, Colin... we supermodels have an image to protect... I wouldn't want to be pictured in Hello Magazine in my jeans, walking boots and kooky hat, eating a pasty. That would never do.
It wasn't a huge crowd, Nod, and got smaller not long after the contestants started to sing. |

Ah. I now realise why I was never pictured in Hello Magazine!

Which is sad really considering that the crowd consisted mostly of contestants' mums and grans! They really must have been bad... |
