...for little old Crawley Town in the next round of the FA Cup
Good luck to them...
Don't think Spurs will be joining them in the next round... |

It's a great tie for Crawley and should enable them to get in some good money for their push towards the Football League because if they get there they will probably need to strengthen their squad
i'm going to put £1 on Crawley winning because although it's unlikely there's probably much more chance than by buying a lottery ticket of getting anything in return
Also it adds a bit of interest for me as a Liverpool fan _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Ruddles: Crawley will not need to stengthen their squad as they've already spent a fortune on players. Besides, they don't need to, they're already good enough for League One, let alone League Two.
They certainly deserve promotion from the Conference and will achieve it, unless they lose their games in hand for the sake of the Cup run.
It's a fabulous tie, I agree, and a bit of romance. They are a physical team though and the Premiership prima donnas won't like some of their game. I expect Sir Alex will choose a weakened side. |

I've only seen them occasionally on television Schiz and they are a very good side but you probably know them better than I do so I'll take your word for that
Most conference teams do find quite a big difference even in League 2
anyway I'm sure they will put the windfall to good use _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Stevenage and Burton Albion have done all right (at Newcastle and Middlesborough's expense in the Cup!). I think the standard of teams recently promoted from the Conference is far higher than ever before. |

I think what you say is correct up to a point but of course the so called 'big' teams now constantly seem to be fielding weakened sides and disrespecting the competition by using FA Cup games as an excuse to rest players for what they see as more important league matches
It's not a bad thing that the lower division teams get a look in but it obviously devalues any success they may have if their opponents are quite deliberately not at full strength _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

It was suggested on the radio yesterday, by someone associated with the game, (didn't catch who) that the winner of the FA Cup should be given a place in Europe in an attempt to make more clubs take it seriously.... |

Not sure about the sentiment of the second paragraph. Here's an alternative view of Crawley Town Football Club and its manager...

OK, he's a nasty piece of work, with a criminal record, and the provenance of the club's funding is doubtful.
But the same applies to the big Premiership clubs with their dodgy, foreign, tax avoiding owners. |
