My mother sent up a local newspaper cutting in which a woman is pictured after retiring from many years' RAF service. Nothing special there, you might say, except that the last time I saw the lovely lady in question was at around the age of 12 when we were both - as you might say - childhood sweethearts (ahhhhh!).

Anyhow, I moved house, went to a school miles away and we lost contact. That was eons ago! Since then Tina, for that is her name, has had an active life and has done her bit for Queen and country.

She's pictured in her full RAF dress uniform looking as gorgeous as ever. I'm smitten all over again despite the 40+ year gap. Is this possible after such a long time?

I do like a woman in uniform, it must be said! (Well, except for women dressed as Traffic Wardens - that would make me a pervert and we can't have that can we!).

Smile

Didn't The Beatles write 'Lovely Rita' about a traffic warden?
