It sounds like a case of left hand and right hand not knowing what each other is doing!

For anyone who is interested on Smooth this morning Dave Brown is today standing in for Lynn Parsons who is standing in for Mark Goodier if you see what I mean

Simon Bates said that he'll be playing quite a lot of Motown but I don't know whether they will deviate from the usual playlist

I mention it because I know that Helen and Becky and others on here including me do like the old Motown stuff

So far he's played one Motown track but the music does seem rather different from usual

It has happened on Radio 2 Nod

I remember once on Saturday morning Lynn was standing in for Ms screetchy Ball and she was then ill so Nikki Beddi I believe stood in for her

As I've said before some stand ins are better than the normal presenters although not this week on Radio 2 Sad

Come to think of it recently John Peel's son stood in for Zoe Ball who was standing in for Dermot O'Leary on Saturday afternoon so I think it's a case of Radio 2 well and truly having' been there and got the tee shirt'

Early in 2004 Sarah Kennedy was away and Lynn Parsons was deputising on Dawn Patrol, she was struck down with a bug and Mark Goodier finished doing that week's Dawn Patrol shows.

Radio2 should have offered more shows to Chris Tarrant and even his own show.

I haven't been on these boards for a while for many reasons but after last weeks schedule just had to comment. It was bad enough being stuck at home with awful weather and dirty wet children running in and out without having to listen to the apologies for presenters we had foisted upon us. I don't listen before 9.30 anyway for obvious reasons and I know by now that if it''s school hols Ken is off and Miss Screech Owl is on instead so that is avoided at all costs. I thought however there may be some respite in the afternoon. I know not everyone likes Steve, I don't really mind his show. I really liked it when Dale stood in but Chris Tarrant - oh no. Silly TISWAS humour and a voice to match Ms Ball. Glad to have some sanity back this week!
