Well I hope all those who moan about Jeremy cutting off callers and guests have their ears peeled today.

I've not listened at all this week until today (apart from turning on for the 1 o'clock news a couple of times) and in the first hour alone she has cut off 3 people literally mid sentence. She is just awful!

According to RT, Paddy O'Connell is doing Monday and Tuesday of next week. Surely he can't be as bad as Vanessa.

I hope Bob Shannan is reading this Helen! If his aim was to drive away his core audience then he's succeeded: I don't know anyone who listens to R2 on weekdays any more . How things have changed Crying or Very sad

If you think she's rude to callers on air Helen and I'm sure you're right I can promise you she's even worse with people she meets in ordinary day to day life

The words which spring to my mind are pompous arrogant condescending and patronising and in my view having once met her she is just not a considerate or pleasant person

I imagine people can't hide these things all the time so when her guard slips it's bound to manifest itself on air

Well I thought she was a bit off to one caller, whose point of view she obviously thought was not the norm.

I'll take back my words that no one could be worse than Vanessa Feltz Shocked. Paddy O'Connell is certainly no better. Have switched off now.

The problem is if the show didn't have any music, and also squeezing in so many topics then callers wouldn't be cut short. Jeremy has said this before " He hates cutting callers off". The show is more designed for a talk radio show like BBC London. Radio 2 is committed to News and Current affairs.

Mark there is cutting people off and cutting people off!

In most cases Jeremy apologises, Vanessa just cut them off while the person was still mid sentence. She, IMHO, was also rude to a couple of callers on the one hour that I listened to, Friday I think.

What I'm complaining about has nothing to do with the music. In fact I checked the playlist for something I heard part of on another day and there were more tracks played than Jeremy normally plays. That to me says there mustn't have been many callers or emails read out.

I've been in the studio while the show has gone out an have listened to the show since it started + many years when Jimmy Young presented it so I think I know the format.

No it isn't. Its remit is to provide a mix of popular music and talk-based programming.

I could understand Vine and Feltz cutting people off if it was really important to do on occasions, but when they do so repeatedly only to play "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys yet again (even though I love that song) I think they need to think again.

It's not only rude but very unprofessional, and that's why I choose not to listen.

I thought Vanessa was great sitting-in for Jezza last week- I was hoping she would be doing this week too but I've just heard that Big Jezza is back today- so that explains why she isn't.

I only listened briefly for about 1/4 hr on the radio in the car.

She seemed well to me a bit patronising and false, that's putting aside the obvious cutting off bit. To be honest and I think Aitch said this years ago about not liking women presenters on radio generally and I think I feel the same. It maybe sexist but some how they are very annoying and talk too much! Laughing Just do not get me started on EP because that women well makes me shout at the radio and I don't do that very often ....it is the cause of much amusement in our household.

Come back Matthew all is forgiven....Laughing although I didn't care for him at first, he's kind of settled in with me as a stand in over the years and I've grown to quite like him. What has happened to him now I wonder?

If they all stopped playing DJ's and get on with the politics of the show then maybe listeners wouldn't moan.

The format requires music mixed with topical current affairs-based discussion, Mark.
