Quote from BBC News website;-

0414 It's now time for the best actress award - Jeff Bridges, last year's best actor - is going through the women in line for the gong one by one. They are Annette Bening, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lawrence, Natalie Portman and Michelle Williams.

Nice work if you can get it................ Confused

I think I'd rather watch paint dry

What a totally boring gathering of egotistical plonkers

I really wish they would abolish the Oscars and all the other boring film awards which constantly occupy the news channels when there are far more important stories which should be covered

I really couldn't give a toss about Colin Firth and what he does Mad

It's interesting. As a film buff, I've always been into the Oscars but just a few years ago I really had to seek out the coverage and results. Nowadays you can't get away from them - even though I'm considerably less bothered than I used to be!
