Not a week goes by without the sad loss of the stars of yesteryear, the latest being Jet Harris. Would it not be appropriate to have a section dedicated to such matters. Regretably the number of passings will only increase as our heros and heroines of the fifties and sixties get older.

Graham, yes it is sad that we hear regular passings of our music stars of the past. Morbid as it may seem I think it is a good idea.

Some of you may remember Iain Smith.... maybe he could come back and be the moderator of the In Memoriam threads Laughing

I'll put a new section up tonight or tomorrow and gather together the appropriate threads from the past.

Thanks John. It will also have the added advantage of reducing the number of duplicated threads and the wars of words that tend to follow.

So the forum is set up, quite a few threads in it. Haven't put a photo-link on the home page, not sure who's appropriate, most recent deceased R2 broadcaster maybe.

I think it's a great idea too, I hate it when I find out that someone has died 6 months after it has happened.
Hopefully this won't fill with threads too quickly!!!

At risk of being called (again) a pedant, it should be "In Memoriam" - it's Latin.

"In Memorium" was the title of a horror film.

Sorry Ron. I agree with you. It's over 40 years since a did any Latin so the memory fades.

John. Can you alter the main title. Mea culpa.

Me as well, graham.

I've noticed it in a few newspapers recently and wondered where they got it from - The curse of Hollywood culture
