Not only am I slightly shocked to see that trucking boss Eddie Stobart has died, but I'm surprised at the fact that he was only 56. I thought he was much older.
He achieved incredible success to the point where the company fleet comprised of 1,000 HGV trucks. Is it possible to drive on a main UK road without seeing one at some point in one's journey?

I admire the man quite simply because a few years ago he took a decision to maintain the company base near Carlisle at a time when it would have been much more financially advantageous to relocate to Europe where diesel is cheaper and of course in many parts of Europe so is labour
I also thought he was much older than 56 - that's way too young to die _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Very young to die but wasn't he the son of the founder?

I've never yet managed to spot a name on front of a truck because I'm always motorway-driving at the time. |

Yes, and the brother of the (current) owner (who he sold it to) |
